...Ahh my sharked Tarwar...a beauty it is...Like the AK Bowie I waited and waited for the right one to come along and this one sure was an excellent bite  I need to remove another plum limb so testing time in a few...

A must have for any H.I user/collector!

I always thought that the blurb on the HI website ought to read something like this:

"World's most bad@ss machete. It's a sword, too."

I've done some pretty hard work with mine. We had the opportunity to cut some wood with it at the MWKK '05. It did fine.

I know, I know...you ain't supposed to chop wood with swords. I'm a slow learner sometimes. :)

You're right though...everyone needs to have one of these.

I like it a lot...but I think that it might be too heavy for a sword of its size. I can understand the overbuilt philosophy with regards to khukuris; I just don't think it applies to swords.

I am joining with all these peoples who posted "I got" in cameras but most never post any photos at all...now I know why...it's just easier to tell then show!

Hay! That's my thread! ;)

Actually my camera just arrived this afternoon. So far I've taken a picture of two coworkers, my "office", and now the battery is charging and the manual is laying on the couch...

I do want to get a bunch of pics up here on the forum, which I have said before but didn't get to. Just a couple a days is all I need now...

And to keep the thread on track ~ Yes, the Tarwar is awesome... really awesome. I'm hoping to get another one of these days.

Kamagong, you mentioned too heavy for its size? In some ways yes, and in some no. As a two handed sword, the weight is perfect. For bigger/stronger guys, I don't think there would be too much issue using it single handedly. For medium/average size guys, one hand might be a bit much.

Satori, I think Yangdu should add your description into the text. It is the worlds greatest machete. And also a sword.

my tarwar is not by any stretch overly heavy. 2 handed it is a frightening to behold. I love it. i have many swords but this is the one that speaks to me.

the H.I tarwar is an absolute MUST have.

I had a post already to go to your thread, somehow I did not post it and I was just to darn lazy to re-type it out again...whatever camera you bought there probably will be a forum for it here if you need any help

as for the weight your right. My wife thinks it is heavy but in 2 hands she said it is extremely nice, but for her small hands the handle is a bit large...for me the weight is very nice in the one hand, in 2 hands it's a brutal quick tool...in my long wait to purchase one this was a ballpark weight I was looking for...it's a beauty and handles like it looks :D

My Tarwar was only supplanted by my Falcatta.

I think that alone says a *lot*.
