Shame on you Yvsa, you'll give the boy nightmares about having his hair lifted. Never handled one of the Cold Steel Red Rivers, are they anything as good as my old Russel Green River Knives?

Naaaw, Two Dogs is incorrigeable. (IS that the word I wanted, sounds good anyway, maybe it should be "unflappable".:)

Sarge I think they're better than the Russel Green Rivers. The Red Rivers are Carbon V!!!! Will rust like crazy if you don't keep 'em dry, but they hold an edge much better than the Green Rivers IMO.:D
I bought about 5 of the blank blades, sans handles of the butcher knife style just to have around to make other knives out of, and for $5.00 a pop!!!!!!!:D I used one for the long karda for my 18" AK.
CS made four different versions of these style of knives with two different names so as to not intrude on the Green River trademark, hence the Red River brand. I cant recall what the others were. I should'a kept some of those old CS Special Project catalogs, but I have so much dayumed stuff like that I need to go through.
Maybe someone will know what the others were called.
 
Sweet - 29 inches overall, very solid, wooden handle, don't know how heavy it is but you gotta be pretty strong to handle it one handed with any grace. Deffinetly speaks to me and I love it but I cannot take it home with me so hence the reason I am considering letting it go.

Yvsa - I wasn't threatining, would I do that ??
