Tarwar's edge !!

Is the tarwar edge as hard as a khuk or is it softer ??

Anybody know ??

Brendan, I used mine to chop great chunks out of some old and very hard oak. The edge was neither dented nor dulled by the experience, so I'm thinking it's as hard as it needs to be. Whatever opinions I may have of how a sword's edge should or should not be tempered, they are but whispers in the wind compared to the wisdom and experience of the old master Bura. I'd trust my life to his judgement when it comes to a proper blade.

Sarge, I like the way you put things sometimes. I don't of know anybody on the forum that has handled Bura knives at all that don't have one healthy respect for his experience, knowledge, and Skill. I'm with you, what Bura makes you can stake your life on.

I'm agree with Sarge, and I haven't noticed any difference between my Tarwar by Bura and my other Khuks.

I'll second Yvsa's thoughts. The tarwar is a real masher! Not delicate but not a club either. Mine is by Kesar and the edge is not quite as hard as Bura would do but none the less a full bore sword that will command respect!

If anybody has their heart set on a tarwar I strongly suggest that you prepay. One is prepaid already so there is only one left -- that is if they really sent them as they said. They say these are 31 inches and that's all I know.
