So, this style of puukko is called taskupuukko in Finland. It's smaller than regular puukkoknives but bigger than miniature puukkos.

This individual has blade made from old spring, 49mm. Handle from birch bark (71mm) with bolsters from 3mm thick brass plates. Leather is just plain barked leather as always, but I fined out the leather myself to proper thickness for smaller knive. The style of the belt loop is called "elistiikkalinkku", made from 1mm thick brass string.

Nice knife, just a little hard to see. Any closeups? Why a belt hanger and not a clip if it's a pocket pukko?

Nice lines all around :)

Not sure I've ever seen birch bark look so glassy before, what did you treat it with?

I like your work! Thank you for sharing this. Do you have a website or more pictures?

I like it too....but a single picture shot from a mile away dosen't give that much to look.
Please show us closer and more if You don't mind.

Finnish pocketpuukkos usually have belt hanger or sometimes not belt hanger at all, just been carried in the bottom of a pocket. But I have thought about trying to do a clip someday.

Here's the bigger pics, guys:

Thank you!

Just finished it with #1500 sandpaper. Even untreated birch bark doesn't suck moisture or dirt almost at all, if dried up properly after use if needed, in my experience.

Reminds me of the Mora wood carvers. I have a couple, but never carried them, because I don't like the sheaths they came with.
