I went camping last weekend with my extended family and my 18 year old cousin was there. He was raised in a house with no hunters or outdoorsmen of any kind, yet my family has always tried to take him hunting, hiking, and other outdoors stuff. We were walking at camp, and I pull out my Manix and flick the blade open (unconciously) to cut a branch that was overhanging. He says "Whoa!, how did you do that" and pulls out his Cabela's knife he bought a little while ago. I showed him how to flick it, and he thinks it's the coolest thing (he didn't know that was what the thumbstuds on his knife were for). He was flicking his knife open at the fire all night. It's really different to finally flick open a knife and not have somebody ask if its illeagal!
