Well,I got a little loot in my pocket, and had to get rid of it.Picked up this sweet Jim Siska sub-hilt.Jerry Rados turkish twist, and beatuiful fossil walrus ivory. It is sharpened on the top clip, and it appears that it has been clay tempered,I believe the temper line shows up in one of the pics. All in all it is a great knife, been wanting something from Jim Siska for a while and this one is quite nice. The sheath has a date of 96 on it,so I'm assuming this one is 10 years old.

Awesome knife:thumbup: I have recently become a fan of Sub hilts myself. I Love that blade grind.

She's a beauty! Mr. Siska makes some very fine sub-hilts that have caught my eye too...now if only my wallet would catch up...

any chopping test pics coming soon?

Likely not,but ya never know...it is sharp.
Oh yeah,I forgot the specs, blade is 9 inches, and overall it is 14 3/4 inches including the skull crusher

Looks like it went to great use. That classic Rados pattern is a favorite of mine and combined with Siska's work it has to be even better to see it in person.

Congratulations.

and Rados Turkish Twist is probably one of the top 3 damascus patterns extant.

Well done.

Best Regards,

It's the nicest sub-hilt I've ever had the pleasure of seeing.
The handle curve downward is very striking.
That Damascus blade!
Steven,a question! What do you consider the other two Damascus patterns to be along with the stunning Rados T.T.?

Habber,
Congratulations on this incredibly beautiful sub-hilt,you so ROCK!
The flow of this one is perfect.
