Taxi Driver Knife

Just watched Taxi Driver for the umpteenth time.
As many times as I've seen the movie I still can't figure out what knife he is using. He wears it taped upside down on his boot, stabs one of the pimp dudes in the hand with it during the big shoot out.

It is misidentified as a Ka-Bar on some movie sites.
I was able to see it pretty clearly when freeze framed. It's not a Ka-Bar F/U.

It has a 5-6" blade, no blood groove, spear shaped, flat grind, uncoated. The handle looks leather stacked. Double guard.
Has a Swedish/German military look to me but could be a cheap 70's knockoff of some kind.

I've always been curious about this one. Any help would be appreciated.

Man do we knife nuts just love to ID knives from movies and say out loud the manufacturer and model and watch peoples faces.

A Japanese knockoff is a good possibility. I remember seeing some similar types in mail-order catalogs back then.

It's too short and too much difference in the grind to be a M3.

It's really more of a narrow drop point than a bayonet style tip.

It’s not an M3. Looks like a spear point rather than the bayonet blade of the M3. It also almost looks flat ground or with a very undefined saber grind, and the handle appears to be plastic made to imitate stacked leather. The sheath looks like metal and without the part that extends up the hilt. I’d guess it is a prop knife, or something inexpensive someone might buy at an army/navy store or flea market. Just my $.02
