Taylor brings back Schrade Extreme Survival?

Interesting. I was just handling my Extreme a while ago, as well as my Demo/Explosives model (blunt tip). The Schrades had... get this... Forged Stainless Steel blades. Wanna bet the China-made ones do not?

Here's a thread telling about both the BTO1 and the Bomb Tech version:

I have seen the FBI version, and one made for some national demo/explosive association.

Either version is one heck of a big knife to add to your collection.

ps.. will any of you please join me in asking the seller where this knife is made? I wanna see him admit it.

Phil, he does admit it. From the middle of his listing and all of the listings for his other Schrade knives:

This Schrade knife and all my knives are brand new straight from the warehouse. (NOTE) This item is by the new manufacturer of Schrade knives.

$40 plus $9 shipping. $49 for a Chinese knock-off? I am guessing it's Chinese but even if it isn't I'm not sure it's worth $49.

Definitely not me. $49 for anything from China is nuts. I knoe they have some quality stuff, but with the exchange rate the manufacturer should not be taking all of the savings.

Of course, I don't remember how much the real one was. I know it wasn't cheap.

Probably petty of me to harrass the seller. I just have a thing about these China made Schr**** and ebay sellers who try and hide the fact they are not USA made.

The problem with collecting and keeping safe a mint condition knife... I wish I had a used version of the BT01 to really USE. To hack and poke and dig and slash with. To see how it really does perform. So I could offer real info on it, not just what I have read or studied up on. Some knives just beg to be used and this big one is one of them.
