Taylor-China LB1

Familiarize yourself with the original tangstamps. These are entirely different. WHile they are attempting to copy the pattern and name, they are not reproducing the original tangstamps. Still, there should be a "made in China" mark IMHO.
Original:
(All on mark side)
"Uncle Henry" signature
"SCHRADE+"
"LB1 U.S.A."

Import:
(mark side)
"Uncle Henry" Signature
"SCHRADE"
(pile side)
"LB1"
Taylor's "Schrade/china '05" logo etch (some)
Taylor's "FIrst Production Run" etch (some)

I thought it was required by law to have country of origin displayed somewhere on the knife. But I couldn't see it on that one. What's up with that?

(The flag on the box galls me every time I see it, but I know that has already been discussed extensively.)

That's exactly what I was thinking even before I had read the other two posts in this thread.

The disturbing thing is that these knives will probably end up being sold without boxes at some point. Either new or used, by honest or dishonest people. It could potentially be difficult to tell the difference between the USA and China stuff.

At least they don't have "USA" stamped on the knives themselves. Not yet anyway.
