Taz Rat LE - does it exist? If not, why not?

And if not, I'm thinking satin with black paper (like the RMD LE)? Is Satin with black paper the standard for LE models?

Someone stripped one in another thread and I had this epiphany - Taz Rat LE - I'm sure I'm not the only one.

It occurred me when I was dithering over whether to purchase a RMD LE, and considering trying to track down an M9 LE, and I thought why not hold out for a Taz Rat LE if it doesn't yet exist? I think this would be a great blade, the T-Rat is a very aggressive looking knife, and from what I've read, a great mid-sized chopper.

If the Swamp came out with a Taz Rat LE who would purchase one? (Or if they already have who has one? - pix please!)

Thanks,

Terry

Well, you'll probably be holding out for a while. You might want to get yourself a sandwich or 5000. :)

There's always the possibility it will get made, but the regular TazRat has so far only been offered at shows, so the chances of actually getting one might be limited. If you really want one that badly, you could get a regular TazRat, and send it in to the Busse Custom Shop to be reground and refinished. It wouldn't be cheap, though.

Hey Hombre,

I believe in the democratic spirit of these here forums, I believe if we shout loud enough, pray long enough, and drink till the scotch runs dry we may have an outside chance at getting a Taz Rat LE. Heck, look at all the hard work those guys put in to get that coveted folder... don't tell me that was all in vain.

Okay, so you may be right, I may have zero chances at seeing a Taz Rat LE in my life time, however, you can't blame a rat for trying.

Get one and strip it

I would really think there are a few others in line like ratweiler and chopweiler re: LE's. Besides, Tazrat is a relatively new design just offered in the SLUT ganza and at shows as prev mentioned-and there would be several production runs like the RMD had, before there was an RMD LE. Could totally happen, but I would think judging from Busse time-it may be 6 weeks-or 2016. With that being said, if it were offered tomorrow-id stand in line with the rest of you to buy one. Love the Tazrat a lot though-gr8 knife.
