Can't seem to find much on this MOX steel. Can anyone guide me as to what it would be similar to as far as toughness and edge retention goes? Thank you.

Thank you sir, reads better than I anticipated, assuming their heat treat and finishing is up to par.

It is the France standardized name for N690.

Zknives is sometimes out of date in description and grouping widely different steels together.

Interesting. I see two different daggers that are similar, Fox Elementum and TD Outdoors Protecteur, steels are therefore similar, trying to decide which makes more sense, unable to handle in person, being rather unfamiliar with both company's quality. As a backup to sidearm for a community-wide house of worship safety team.

The steel on the Protecteur is, according to TB outoors' website, ~55-57 HRC for easier sharpening (and guessing added toughness), the handle is able to break a window

On the Fox Elementum, it's a bit higher HRC, the window-breaking handle capability is not mentioned.

Good point to consider. I miss those old rubber handled SOG 5" models, I with they never discontinued them.

Anyone in the Forums handle either of these? Are the handles/ grip similar, different?

I just got this reply from the producer (tb-outdoor) for the MARAUDER knife, regarding the MOX steel:

So:
- C 1.05
- Cr 17.5
- Mo 1.2
- V 0.1
- Co 1.5

It matches perfectly the steel from this link:
