Good point to consider. I miss those old rubber handled SOG 5" models, I with they never discontinued them.The steel on the Protecteur is, according to TB outoors' website, ~55-57 HRC for easier sharpening (and guessing added toughness), the handle is able to break a window
On the Fox Elementum, it's a bit higher HRC, the window-breaking handle capability is not mentioned.

I just got this reply from the producer (tb-outdoor) for the MARAUDER knife, regarding the MOX steel:Can't seem to find much on this MOX steel. Can anyone guide me as to what it would be similar to as far as toughness and edge retention goes? Thank you.
