Hello Everybody!
Does anybody know anything about TBO-TECH's "Survival Knife"? I'm sure that it's just a cheap and junky knife, but I'm thinking about getting one. I don't plan on using it. I just want it because it's a big knife that looks intimidating. Do you think that this knife would come with the blade already sharpened, or would I have to sharpen it myself? I don't know how to sharpen knives. In fact, I don't know anything about knives. I would really appreciate any answers or comments. Thanks. Take care. Later.

welcome to the forums.that looks like a blatant copy of a buckmaster.i would steer clear if i were you,as it will prob. be of very poor quality build, and materials.

Adults on this forum don't often buy cheap knives that just look intimidating. They buy proven knives from quality makers to use as tools, carry firearms if needed, and are first to call 911, because the odds favor the caller.

I'm sorry if your post was meant to garner opinions about the knife, but others use the same questioning method as backdoor spam to promote their products. "Survival Knife" is an overplayed category in the knife world and only attracts the young and unschooled. The "buckmaster" was supposedly issued to Navy seals who promptly traded or junked them out. They are too heavy, fragile, gimmicky, ad nauseum. A copy is probably worse.

In constrast, a Swiss Army knife with a saw blade is a much more valuable survival knife in the real world.

I think setting the money on fire, that you would spend on that piece of junk, would be a better use of your money; than to actually BUY that thing. At least fire warms!!

Ýeah and you are a worthless bum while we are at it !!!

Well no you are not :0) but you might think so from the responses.
If you like the knife go a head and buy it, you will be using the same reason 95% of the other people here use to buy a knife. It makes you feel good, and thats a very valid reason to buy anything.

However it's not what is known as a good knife, but it does not have to be.

Hello Everybody!
Thanks for all of the replies. Let me add on to my original post/message. I am in NO WAY affiliated with TBO-TECH. And I'm not trying to spam. Like I said before, I don't know anything about knives. I don't own any knives and I'm not a knife enthusiast like most of you are. I'm sure that this particular knife is a piece of junk, but I like the way it looks. And if I ever did purchase it I would probably never use it. It's just very intimidating looking which is why I like it. And no, I'm not going to be going around causing trouble just because I have an "intimidating looking" knife. A good quality, similar looking knife that is made by a reputable knife company would probably cost over a hundred dollars. I'm not spending a hundred dollars on a knife. I saw a knife that I liked made by Cold Steel that is ninety dollars. I would maybe consider buying it because I know that Cold Steel is a good brand. If this TBO-TECH knife is a piece of junk, could any of you recommend me a good quality, long blade, fixed blade knife that is under a hundred dollars? Thanks. Take care. Later.

A very good large knife that is under $100 would be the Becker BK-7 or if you want a bigger knife look at the BEcker BK-9. They have a very good reputation here and will get you through almost any situation.
