Here is some of my stuff over the last few months. I sure appreciate this forum and appreciate all the work shared here. Awesome stuff!

I really appreciate all of the help that is offered. I still have a few things to perfect. I can't get the hang of dying the belt slots. I've ruined a few sheaths trying it and Wickett & Craig is too expensive to have very many rough drafts with it! Try as I may I can't help but get some shadowing with my alphabet stamps....

Thanks for looking.

Anyhow, That's the highlight reel. I can pick something wrong with each one of them but I'm sure trying to get better and better. Sure appreciate the help once again...

Very nice work Todd! I'd be proud to stick my makers mark on any of those!

Two ideas come to mind on the letters. Maybe a different set of stamps? Also ya could try just light enough to make the outline of the stamp and then inlay it with a backgrounder. This is a brand not a stamp but kinda gives ya an idea:

Again excellent work., fantastic stitching and stamping.

An idea from on old toolmaker (me), you can file down and repolish the edges, this will give you more clearance if you get a little too deep. rtmind/randy

As Amy said. The tooling is fantastic. Edges look great. Hell, it's all great except for the marks around some of the letters.

Awesome advice with the background tool. It’ll give it a try. I’ve already beveled and polished the stamps. I’m guessing like anything leather works, Tandy has okay tools but there is always better tools around.

Thanks for the kind comments and the wonderful help.

Todd, that particular little set of alphabet stamps is nearly always going to leave the shadow, because the entire letter is designed to penetrate. The only thing to stop it is the shoulders of the tool. The Numbers set is the same. The 1/4" sets are all made that way including Stock number 4909-00, but the 4909 is a little easier to control.
