TDI clip

For better or worse I picked one of these up to go on my new BK14, but even the smallest hex wrench I have is far too big.

Does anybody happen to know what size of hex wrench I need to install it? Or a good substitute for replacement mounting hardware?

I'm surprised the clip didn't come with the wrench. My TDI LE 1480 came with the TDI clip and wrench.

I'm a little surprised by that myself. But I got the matter resolved with some #6 stainless steel nuts and bolts from the hardware store. The look is more utilitarian but a great deal stronger and unlikely to strip out.

I just installed a TDI clip on a BK14 sheath and was a little annoyed that there were no instructions whatsoever. It was nice that the screws came with blue locktite pre-applied. It required a #6 Torx (poster above said he used #8. Mine were definitely #6). The "barrel nuts" (not sure what they are technically called since they have a barrel/long body the screws, screw into) went on the outside of the clip. I placed the O-rings over the barrels on the inside of the clip and then fit the clip to the sheath (so the O-rings are between the clip and the sheath). The Torx screws go through the other side of the sheath into the barrels. Seems pretty secure, but be carefull to not overtighten since I believe all the hardware is aluminum.
