I am interested in adding a TDI to my edc as a last ditch knife.
My question is, do I go with the small or large version?

Small:
-my biggest concern is that the blade is so small that it would not create deep enough wounds.

Large:
-my concern is that it is so large that it will be hard to conceal.

Can y'all please share your experiences?
Thanks

The small one is not designed so much for puncture/stab/depth as it is designed more for slash/cut. Look at the TDI LE demos on YouTube and you will see how they train people to use the TDI. Its primarily slash motions, which, accompanied with the shape and razor sharpness of the blade, will do an insurmountable amount of damage.

I do not have the large one so I do not know how to answer the conceal-ability concerns you have. But I have seen one in the store and......looking back, I'm glad I got the small one.

i've got the large one. i don't think the knife and the sheath aren't too bad to conceal. they fit nicely into a pocket. the ankle rig is a bit bulky, or maybe my pants are a bit tight. can't comment on belt clips.

Had a small TDI as a driver's side truck hideout. It got stolen and I won't buy another... I didn't like how the blade edge gets so close to where you grab the handle. Had I needed to snatch that thing out I would have cut the heck out of my hand. I will say though that it was a wicked little sliver and I believe would do serious damage if held properly.

I do want to get a bigger one as I believe its geometry is better suited for grab-n-slash kind of use.

I had a few of those large and small I believe, years ago. I remember being impressed with how tight to my hip the rig was when worn on a belt. They snug up tight and are basically invisible with a loose shirt or jacket on.
