Posted this else where but thought I'd post it here too. This forum and the knifemakers here have been a huge source of help and inspiration for me. Any way, I took a lot of time off left this and some other stuff laying on my bench for several months. Got some time over the last two days and have really been aching to finish some things up and start new projects. Finally getting this one finished. Tacdical Dao Prybar type: 31.75" OAL, 20-3/8" blade, 19-7/8" cutting edge (when I sharpen it :D), .200" at spine, 1-7/8" at widest, flat grind. The scales are from shadetree. I have been an admirer of Todd's work for some time and he always delivers. I really have to thank Jerry Hossom for his influence and guidance on this one. The next one may be a hidden tang with a gaurd.

I still have some cleaning up to do on it, a final fitting of the scales, sharpening the edge, etching my name, and a sheath, but I wanted to snap some pics before heading out today. It's definitely of the prybar variety but my version of a tactical dao. Any comments welcomed. Thanks for looking.

Helluva blade! Looks like it could lop someone's head clean off their shoulders. But don't get any ideas ;)

Tactical or not, I like that. Big and mean with a beautiful flow to the blade. Todd's scales are pretty too.

Cool design, like the 2-hand style. Quite Hossomish.

Have you done any test cutting/hacking with this blade?

Thanks for the comments guys. This was fun to make and my largest so far. It handles very well one handed or two and is lighter than one would probably think. Geode once I sharpen it and make a sheath for it I'm going to try to get together with another forumite local to me to test it out. I'll update the thread when I can.
thanks again guys!!
