Though I've not been particularly active on this sub-forum I always make it a point to visit every time I log onto BF; which is pretty often. In light of my one year anniversary as a teacher (elementary school) and Teacher's Day (celebrated on the 1st of September in Singapore) I have decided to do a small give away. Up for grabs is a NIB Victorinox Alox Cadet, most likely in black. It's nothing expensive and I'd love to give this to one of my students but most parents here (in uptight Singapore) would frown on that.

All you have to do is tell me something about the young man/ lady that you'll be giving this to AND an accomplishment that he/ she has achieved in the past one year; be it academically, sports or even conduct. Submissions will close at 2400hrs 08092009 Singapore time (+8 GMT). I will go through each submission and decide on a winner. This giveaway is open to all members residing in any country that Singapore Post will ship to; which is almost everywhere unless there is a trade embargo on said country.

I will be giving this to my young friend Kevin. Last year he was struggling with algebra. I told him if got a 96% or better (A) I would take him squirrel hunting. He passed with flying colors! I sincerely appreciate you holding this giveway! No trade embargoes on the us right? :)
 
Nope... No trade embargoes against the US. In fact I remember a few US naval ships berthed here few months back. By the way, Singapore prides itself for having one of the highest standards in Mathematics in the world yet an A is 80% or better. An A* is 90% or above. He definitely did very well and should be very proud of himself.
