Her blade at the polished stage, silver planchet drilled and filed for bolster, awaiting final fitting. She's done 95% of the work on this blade.
 
That elk bone one sure is nice! I like the bail on the end. How big is it? The next one is coming along nicely, can't wait to see it handled!

Blades are 3-5 inches on originals. His is 4.7", hers is about 4." We fitted and etched hers this evening. It should be together tomorrow.
 
Wow, I had no idea you were doing some sort of historical blade. Way cool, double lesson, bladesmithing and history! Anxiously waiting for updates...

Knives are finished, now to work on sheaths. You can see the grain structure running along them. My son's got left in the etchant acid a bit too long. His is very visible.
 
Gosh, where is she? Post her smiling face along with papa. we know you can make knives, so lets see the team! Good going!!
 
That is way cool! Nice blades.
