Hi,
Got a team gemini in the mail yesterday and after making a sheath and putting a sharp edge on it, I took it out in the woods on a walk today. Since its a fairly heavy blade it chops pretty well but its light enough on the belt not to feel like your pants are being dragged down. The shape of the blade lends it to camp and woods work pretty readily. I just went for a short walk chopped a few dead branches and used a esee fire kit with the gemini to start a small fire. The gemini easily shaved off some dead wood for tinder and with some leafs and pine needles I had a quick easy fire. The length of the blade and thickness would make it a good one for battoning thicker wood but I didn't have any laying around my brush pile at the moment. I did trim up some ribs for dinner and it cuts easily through the connective tissue at the top of the rib cage, and sliced onions well enough for cooking. I usually carry a smaller thinner blade for food prep camping though. So far I'm pleased with it and I'll be carrying it on my camping and hiking trips for a while. I'll update posts with how it performs.
