Hey guys, so I bought a knife from a pretty well-known maker, and after having some problems with the knife and replacement knife, I'm left wondering if I should get a refund and maybe try the TGLB. I've had a RMD before, but I wasn't a huge fan(though my tastes have changed since then) and I'm not sure which way I should go. He's a great guy and all I hear is good about his work, but I'm left a little bit upset at the replacement, as it seems to be of worse quality than the original. Basically, I need some pictures and some convincing. :) Thanks guys!

I say go for it, the worst that happens is you don't like it and pass it to someone else that does. All you lose is some time waiting for it to come, and you will wait, the shop is very busy. I am patiently waiting for ours to come. Good Luck with whatever you decide to do.

If it was me i would get the refund. You have already had two of the makers knives and still are not satisfied, wouldn't see much point in trying a third.

Try the TGLB, i think you will be quite pleased with it and if not you should have no problem selling it here on the exchange and trying something else.

Thanks! Also, I've seen a few with a "ka-bar" grind, is this something done by them or something someone did after-market? Also, if from factory, how much is it?

Roughly 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the blade finish and handle material that you choose.

Yep sounds right I just ordered mine today Tanker grey with Black paper handles . I almost ordered 2 I still might Busse knives hold there value a worthy investment.

Not sure what you mean by the " ka-bar " grind, if you are refering to the fuller ( blood groove  ) that is part of the TGLB design, doesn't cost anything extra.

Oh, those were out of the Busse Custom Shop, you would have to talk to Garth about getting one of those.

Thanks. I probably won't get one, though I'm also curious if I can request a penetrator tip on this model. More for fun than anything, but oh well. ;) Anyone have pictures of use and all that? Want some personal accounts on how she likes to play. :D

The TGLB is one of my favorites, great balance and lots of blade.
I love mine, pics later

I just ordered my second, and one for my Godson (to match the one I had to get his father)... they are a great knife and very much a modern take on a "K-Bar" .... :D

Go for it! The TGLB has quickly become my favourite all-around blade and feels just great in the hand. For such a thick blade it also performs incredibly well in the kitchen if you tend to use your knives there as well as in the outdoors. The competition finish is a free option if you call the Busse shop and, in my opinion, gives the blade an interesting look. This one arrived a couple of weeks ago and is competition finish with black & green G10 grips:

Hey guys, I've pretty much decided to go the TGLB route, but I need some pictures! Use pictures, safe queen pictures, sheath pictures, the works! I'm thinking either tanker grey with black g10 or competition with blue/black G10. Let's get them coming!
