team gemini m

There are 2 INFI versions- the original Minis were a little different to the ones from OP2wks. The newer ones have a smaller fuller, a swedge, smaller talon holes, etc

(I'm not totally sure but the originals were more like a TGLB just shorter- I don't remember if they actually had LB treatment in the handles though)

I actually bought that original Comp Finish one pictured, but idiotically sold it :(

only pic I have of an original and op 2weeks blade. op2weeks is definitively heavier. I assume not lb. The reason I ask, is I have a sheath for it/ and it doesn't fit either....

Thanks guys, I learned something new today  but now I have to try and find the older version with no swedge.

Yes there are TGMs that have the light brigade treatment! I do not own one but I bet they feel great as the full tang TGMs always feel very handle heavy to me.

There are three versions of the TG Mini now.
The LB and CG are INFI with the SE in A2.

The TGLB Mini at .250” has the Light Brigade “I” beam handle with a large fuller, hollow grind, and Nuclear Meltdown treatment (rounded spine/quillion).

The CG Mini at .220” is from O2W and has a swedge with a flat saber grind. They were NOT offered without a swedge. They do not have a LB treatment but do have some large holes in the tang to reduce weight. No Nuked edges.

TGSE Mini in .220” A2. This model is essentially the same as the CG Mini but was offered with or without swedge in A2 steel.

The TGLB Mini is my favourite EDC!! Mine is 220 satin from Josh at REK. Still very close to the original .25” thick it weighs 3 grams more than my thinned out (3/16” or .187”) CGTGM.

Caveat: This post relies on my poor memory and it is possible I am recalling some info incorrectly.:D

Thanks ST - that is very informative. I have a beautifully stripped CGTGM with partially hand smoothed handles and it feels great as well, and I love the .22. At first I thought I would not like a mini-TG and I am getting fonder and fonder of this guy. Would love to feel the .25 TGLB-M as well, and the nuked treatment is just swell all around. Good collection of M's!!!

Man... i had both, That new bruiser one, and Original Comp with Tan and Black G10, and like a Du..A $$ Lol sold Comp one

i wonder why no skullcrusher on the TGLB or TGLB M, everyone loves them and it would shave off a third ounce or so.

edit: in before someone brings up carry issues with skullcrushers, Im not buying it :cool::thumbsup:

I like em too...

If I'm bashin' a skull, a standard pommel works just fine......lol

Yeah, I suppose...
But you know the Confucius saying ZA...

"Better to have it & not need it, than to need it & not have it"
I know, that hardly applies...lol!

I suppose if you're hitting someone in the skull with a skull crusher pommel...
You may as well get that knife turned around & finish that zombie for good!!

Hey F'lar!
Do you try collect each version of an offered / preferred knife?

I'm just kinda random...
By the time I chose a knife for the apocalypse, it would probably be over!
