Just a few comparisons in the weight differences (in grams) between a couple of the newly launched A2 models vs. The TGLB models.

Heaviest to lightest (top to bottom)....

TGA2 with G-10.
TGA2 with hand shaped micarta.
TGLB with micarta and less pronounced fuller/hollow grind.
TGLB with paper micarta and very deep fuller/hollow grind.

I believe there were some TGLB's with micarta that weighed in around the 14 oz mark. If someone finds an old thread comparing grinds from the OGTG and the TGLB there should be weights. :)

Man, I always heard that g10 was heavier than micarta, but I didn't think it would be 1.25oz heavier (assuming all else is equal).
 
Wow - All I have to go by is the A2- now I get it with the LB - amazing difference. I'm still holding out hope I'll get a shot at a new iteration during this O2W - Part of me see's why it might not happen because of the values they hold. If I was sitting on them I'd like it how it is- but Maybe we'll be surprised by something new and different while retaining the legendary profile. Either that or the A2 was the way to throw us a bone to fill that request?
I can certainly imagine feeling like completely different knives with that big swing in weight.

The difference between my bgtg and a2tg is quite noticeable...both in weight and balance.
 
TGA2 weighs 20.9 ounces and measured .261 thick in front of the handles - Black Canvas
TGLB weighs 15.8 ounces and measured .253 thick in front of the handles - Black Canvas
TG14 weighs 20.9 ounces and measured .251 thick in front of the handles - Black G10
TG-P weighs 22.3 ounces and measured .241 thick in front of the handles - Black Canvas
