Specs?
Haven't used it yet, but plan to make at least one a user... I think that it will be a decent HD muti-purpose knife and even though it's a bit heavy, with the right sheath it might be a nice BOB candidate. The more I handle it, the more I like it.
This weekend may give me the perfect opportunity to test one out. If so, pix and a review will be forthcoming.

I would want one more if they removed the top hand guard post. They days of hand to hand knife fights (well for most of use...) are over. I would rather use it the top of the knife for leverage.
I may not be completely catching your point, but when I first saw the pic Jerry posted a few months ago, I thought the same thing (pr something similar). After handling it, I noticed that because of the handle shape, my thumb can either rest on the guard and still access the spine, or with a minor twist, access the spine with the guard on top. Not perfectly, but still with plenty of leverage. If I choke up on the knife to use the choil, the base of the thumb rests comfortably on the guard with the thumb on the spine.
The other reason that I have grown to like it is thinking about using it in very cold temps... if the hand numbs a bit and slips up, the double guard will become your friend if you need to dig, thrust, place pressure straight out, etc.![]()
