We have just started shipping the Duratech version of the Team Leader. So stores that have ordered the knives should be receiving their stock in the next few days.

I do not have a definite date at this point but we are expecting be begin shipping the 440c versions in the next 4-6 weeks.

Chris, thanks for the update on the 440c teamleaders. I was just on the website and noticed that the pics all show them having a saw on the spine. Is that how all will come or will it be an option?

Love the blade shape, handle shape and sheath so even if the saw back is the only way to get it, will still do it. Just wondering. Thanks,

I was wondering the same thing. When I pre-ordered one from SOG, I don't recall the 440C version looking different. Won't those sharp saw teeth dig into that leather sheath? I am thinking about cancelling my order. On the other hand, if it works as well as the saw on the revolver, it might make a great yard knife.
 
Originally the Team Leader 400c was not going to have the saw back. The saw back was added recently, the reason for the photos just going online. We have a limited number available and in stock right now with out the saw back. if you want one with out the saw back get your order in now.

I think the saw back versions will be arriving in the next 4-6 weeks.

Since I have already ordered, will I get the plain back one? I hope so.
 
I would say with 90% certainty that you will get the plain back one. We have enough in stock to fill all of our pre-orders at this point. So anything bought or ordered after this point will most likely get the saw back version.
 
Thanks, Chris. I'm sure the sawback model will work well, but I have the Seal Revolver for that. This new Team Leader is a beautiful knife. Looks like a good slicer.

I want to order one through AG Russells. When I called the lady on the phone told me I needed to call back tomorrow durring normal hours for special orders. I need to practice Patience. :grumpy:

Update on the saw back design. We have discussed it further and until further notice the 440c version will be shipping with the plain bank not the saw back. If this changes I'll let everyone know. Sorry for the confusion. :confused:
 
I noticed that the pictures of the 440C version are back to normal on the SOG web site, too. Whew!
 
I was informed today to change the gallery back to it's previous state... the change was a miscommunication on my part. All is well.
