TB Case and GEC 85. Never held either so I’m curious how they handle and pocket? Also what’s available?

I have a gec 85 and a number of antique teardrops. In my opinion they handle and pocket quite well.

Yay from me. I picked up a Case Teardrop this past summer just because I liked the particular cover material I found one in (Kentucky Bluegrass), and it unexpectedly became a favorite pattern of mine right away. The shape makes it especially enjoyable to fumble with and manipulate while enjoying an evening beverage on the back porch and contemplating the day gone by; which, though it may sound silly to some, is an important aspect in a traditional for me.

As a fan of single-blade simplicity this is one pattern I've always been intrigued by but haven't tried yet. A few more nice pictures here and I might have to change that...

Cool. Been trying to decide between a TB Case teardrop or TB swayback Jack to try.

Love the Swayback pattern as well. I'd like to pick up the two bladed version at some point.

(Note: I should probably mention that none of these I've posted came with the brushed finish, but rather it's something I do myself to all of my Case knives.)

I love swaybacks. Single blade wharncliffes (like the teardrop I just ordered) really do it for me. I think wharncliffes translate so much better as traditional knives than they do modern tacticals.

I've got a TB Swayback and I love it, though I'm not much of a slipjoint guy and just like how smooth and pretty they are.
Cool. My favorite is still the GEC 85, but I may go Case.

I totally agree about warncliff blades! Modern takes on the shape don’t even qualify by the standard. That’s a beauty and a true warncliff, a blade I really like.

Ordered Saturday, here Monday. Pretty impressive

Oh, right. The knife. So far I've only opened a box with it but it's a definite YAY from me. Got that minimalist single wharncliffe that I love the swayback for in a more neutral handle. Lucky for me the blade shape and scales I wanted come together on this pattern. That's one thing that annoys me with Case is that I often, but not always, have to decide between blade shape, steel, or handle scale but not here. CV would be cool but on this particular model I can definitely live with stainless considering the overall clean, svelte attitude of the knife.
