tech question

I'm new to this site but I've owned several emersons through the years. I have a tech question. I have an old ragged out cqc7. I'm looking to put in a new blade but I'd like to put a small blade in it. Does anyone know if the cqc7 karambit blade will fit in a regular cqc7 handle?

yeah that is a tough question for anyone to answer unless they have tried it. My guess would be no, or maybe... That might be Ernie's answer too!!

Depends on what edition, serial, etc... Is it pre-Benchmade CQC-7? or Post?

It was made in '99. CQC7B with a satin finish.

I would venture, based purely on viewing both blades, that it 'may' fit, but the CQC-7 Kerambit blade looks a bit wider, so I'm not sure on lock up.

I would imagine that it wouldn't be a good fit, if it would fit at all.

I'd be hesitant to switch them out...

Give Emerson a ring and see what they say.
