I know there is a lot of literature about it.
But I created this topic to show our "tricks" in handling this incredible tool.

The intention is to make videos, but a good Description is also useful.

If there are similar topic let me know. and say also find themselves a good idea.

I am not an old axeman, or professional ... but I'm observer of myself and others.

I'll post a few things.

First a video that I do in portuguese.
In Portuguese there were no serious video that shows the basics of how to cut with ax.

In it I explain that one can use a heavy ax to a thick, well supported log.
Show as slide a hand through handle.
Speak edging ...
Speaking of movements that do not eve.
And finally show the V-cut, it must have, in my experience, the same length as the diameter of the log.

No hablo portugués pero español, sí – suficiente a platicar y creo mejor para entender lo que quiero decir por escribir.
I don’t speak Portuguese but Spanish, yes – enough to chat and I think what I want to say comes across better written.

Gracías por el video. También por las fotos.
Thanks for the video. The photos also.

¿Qué tipo de “madeira” cortas en tu video? ¿Qué es la longitud del tronco? (más o menos)
What kind of wood are you cutting in the video? What length is the log? (more or less)

Con un guante… chido.

Wood is Australian eucalyptus.
Tree with about 10 years, fell in a storm. 40m in height, diameter of 40-50cm in basa
The characteristics are similar to American hickory.
