Hey guys just got a Techno, new to me, it is one of the recent batch run in S30V steel. I have a question: the pivot seems to be adjusted tight meaning I could not seem to get it to break loose or turn tighter with my torx bit. However when I apply pressure to either side of the pivot screw with my fingers there is a small amount of play, I can "click" it back and forth, only a tiny amount less than a mm. Is it normal for this to occur? I am not to familiar with the type of pivot that is in the Techno. there is no perceptible blade play and it is smooth opening and closing. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar

"The pivot seems to be adjusted tight." You say "new to me". Is this a new knife or a used one you just got?
It could be the lockbar dragging the detent ball across the blade tang. Try a drop of oil where the detent ball slides. My Sage 2, when new, seemed like it had a tight pivot and this helped until it smoothed the blades satin grind down.
