Teeny Torx Drivers...

Well I stopped at the local hardward stores to see what they had in the way of small torx head bits or drivers. Smallest I could find was T10, which I already had in my gunsmith screwdriver set.

I seem to be collecting more and more knives that have torx head or small hex head screws. Evidently, local hardware stores rarely carry such tools.

I had a Micro-Mark catalog at home and it looks like they have a nice driver set. I'm gonna get one of these! Here's a link to the one that looks like it will fit the bill just right:

What do you guys use for those teeny screws ?

you do not want any that are not hardened...
i use them all day long..and ive tried about 5 different brands
of small torx drivers.. wiha is the best so far..
i wish craftsman made them that small.. hehehheh....

I have the Benchmade Blue Box which comes in handy. Before the Blue Box came out I found my T-6 torx driver at Sears.

Sears has the tiny torx drivers.
I have two Craftsman torx screwdrivers (T6 and T8). I forget how much they costs but it was'nt very much.

Good luck,
Allen.

I agree with knifenerd, Wiha has a large selection of torx drivers, and they are very good quality. I would recommend you buy the powerhandle(362 series), I bought a set like the one you linked to and the bits broke when used on tight torx. So far I havn't had any problems with these, and they are not that expensive either.

My Sears T6 and T7 drivers were only about $3 each. Wiha makes excellent ones also in the smallest sizes.

Erik... Wouldn't the Wiha 362 powerhandle use the same bits as the other (267 set) ???

Or these don't have bits, they are complete drive with torx end on it ?

The powerhandle version is more like a traditional screwdriver, they don't have interchangable bits. Each one has the handle molded around the steel shaft that becomes the bit.

Well anyone know how small is the CRKT F4's scale screws?
They're torx...
And where can I get them (in Canada)

Thanks for the hint!
I'll look it up in some electronics store in the weekend.
