Teeth- probably a stupid question

I've noticed that some Busse knives have teeth. Are the flat spots on the edge between the notches sharp or dull? You would think it would be obvious from a photo, but I really can't tell by looking if they're sharp or just rounded. It only makes sense to me that they would be sharp, but it can't hurt to ask.

Here's an example from the photo thread:

can't say for sure but i think they were the sharpest part of my batac before i reprofiled now the hole thing is super sharp

You ask a difficult question.

Partly because one's perception of the concepts "sharp" and "dull" differ. From the example picture you posted, I would guess the edges of the teeth are "sharpened" but whether they are "sharp" depends on who's judging.

I would guess that usually the blades are sharpened uniformly, then the teeth are added. But what do I know about how the knives are made?

Also it depends on the specific knife. I have a Swamp Rat Howling Rat with teeth on the swedge. When I got it the swedge was ground but it was a false edge. In my opinion at least, not sharp at all. So then I ground it and made it sharp.
