Just got an e-mail from the store I have been buying my Kershaws from, the Echelon is being discontinued so they are having a sale on the existing stock and when they are gone they are gone.
Don't know if I can mention the name because I don't know if they are sponsors but I will mention the price $56.95 and free shipping.

Well considering that place is 3-5 dollars cheaper than other places on the internet, something doesn't smell right.

Not exactly a blowout...

I wonder if they have a large stock of them and aren't planning on ordering them again so they are just trying to move their inventory.

Darn. I was planning on getting one of these for awhile, but other things have been pushed in front of it on the list of "What to get". Hopefully they'll be around for a little bit longer before people start snatching them up.

I don't think they've really been that popular, so I think you're good.

The echelon is such a cool little folder, but the Piston and Knockout were too powerful. ;)

Didn't they just recently change the echelon? Seems silly to bother making a "diff" version if they are discontinuing it.

the holes on each side of the thumb studs in the blade are not chamfered on the new ones.

I had heard as well that they are being discontinued, but they are in the 2013 catalog, so I imagine that they will be around for a little while at least.
