Hi guys...

Well based upon a couple of suggestions for EDCing my HEST I bought a couple Tek Lok's. I mounted the smaller Tek Lok to my HEST factory Kydex sheath but I was only able to mount it by two holes one side (out of the nine available) on the Tek Lok. It seems sturdy but I would have prefered to mount it more securly. I hope that explains what I'm trying to say.

How do you have your Tek Loks mounted-the same way? Thanks!

Tek-Loks are only meant to be mounted on one side. That's why they only come with 2 posts. The only way to rectify this is to make an attachment to span the sheath and then attach the TL to that. That would add standoff and be pointless anyway IMO. Two points is plenty secure.

Thanks I feel a little better now. Maybe some instructions would have been nice. But wait were guys and dont read those anyway! ;)

I hear ya on the not reading instructions bit. Done plenty of damage that way. :p

That said, Tek-Loks do usually come with a fold out instruction sheet. For some reason though, like you, I've received 'em without 'em a few times. Not sure why.

Speaking of Teckloch / clip questions. I know the techlock works but, does the bladetech clip work on Izula sheaths?

Don't have one in front of me, but if my memory serves me the clip has the same hole spacing (vertically at least) as the small TL, so it should if the Izula sheath takes a small TL.
