OK Guys. Pour the advice on me. I am trying to figure out my brand new shiny tek-lok and mounting it (horizontal) up to my brand new Izula. So far, I'm perplexed. (this isn't all that hard to do)

I can see that it'll mount up with chicago screws one up top and one below. Fine, fine.. but then how the heck to you actually use this thing? From what I've read everyone loves them because of their slick off & on -ability. From what I'm ciphering to get this thing off without taking your belt off, you'd have to drop your pants to you knees to get enough slack in the belt to take the horseshoe safety do-hicky out so you can then squeeze the thing to make it let go.

Does anyone have a pic they can upload of the way they have theirs setup, and maybe a verbal "procedure" that a child could understand on how to EDC this contraption? -before I take both of these new tek-lok's and watch them burn in the bonfire for pleasure? :grumpy:

I can promise you I've got something backwards.

Appreciate any suggestions. I'm going to now have a Crown and Coke and breath deeply for a few hours. ;)

Remove horseshoe safety thingie.

Fire into trashcan with force.

Problem solved.

Seriously, I've never used the horseshoe lock and have never had a problem with it coming undone. And they do "break in" to an extent, making them easier to squeeze over time.

Once you squeeze and disengage the clasp, you can pull your belt out a bit and push the bottom of the Tek-Lok up and under it with one hand and the knife comes right off.

LOL agreed

LMAO... Never fails when you have a problem you just Go to "Guns" and he'll come back with the fix.. I will do just that.

I had seriously considered that the horseshoe lock thing needed to go stay beside Jimmy Hoffa in a hole somewhere, but figured that if I did that sure enough I'd come up missing a knife long about 1/2 a days worth of playing with no idea where it divorced me. Thanks for the reassurance.

Thats the wonderful thing about this forum and all the great individuals that tie themselves to it. A guy's got a stupid little problem and more than likely someone else has already solved it and is willing to share the wealth.

Thanks again. :D
