Tek Loks, Large and Small..... A question for Mike Sastre , Normark and others....

Both Tec-Locs will work with holes drilled one inch on center (Did I say that right?)

In other words, the center of both holes will be one inch from each other...

I just compared a regular TekLok to a mini-TekLok. As far as I can see a set of 1"-on-center holes will only accomodate the regular size in the vertical position, using the "slide" grooves. Am I missing something here?

Bob, you may be right...I was working from memory...

It turns out I only have Mini Tek-Locs on hand so I can't be sure...

Maybe you could post the specs for us...I was sure you could use it both ways with a 24mm spacing (1 inch)

Hi MDP..

No the two different Tek are not the same hole patterns...

You can make the large fit the holes of a small Tek by using say the top hole and a slot,, but you have to drill the slot,, it's not made to slide up and down. The slot is too narrow and a Chicago screw will not fit into it...

I imagine there are some other positions, but couldn't tell you off hand. All of the large Tek I have get taken off and pitched into a box...Can you tell I don't like them ?? :)

Now the mini Tek are Way cool and have some valuable psibilities...
Good little piece of gear...
