Tek-Tite make a 7 LED light that is dive rated($70). CC Crane also makes a version of this light which is not dive rated($60). I am interetsted in your experience in using either of these lights and finding a source for both lights with the best price/service. Thanks. Just purchased a Lightwave 2000 with 4 LED's and this is not enough light. Anyone have any experience with the Lightwave 4000 which has 10 LED's and uses 3 D cells in contrast to the Tek-Tite which uses 3 C cells?-Dick

Yes the dive light version of the Tektite has dual O rings and is harder to turn on. There are a couple of lights brighter thne the LW4000, it depends on how large you want to get, you could even go the Luxeon Star route (a single LED about the same as 12 LED's). Arc is making one right now that runs on either 1 lithium 123, 2 AA or a single AA (at a dimmer level). But there are many other lights to look at, tektite 1400, inova X5. Take a look at my site for more info on all kinds of lights. By the way I don't sell any lights or get any money from any companys, I am just a flashaholic ;)

Yeah I've got a lightwave 4000 and I think it's great. Much better than similar flashlights in its class. And the light output just amazes me!
