As I understand in the little I found that this was a top of the line head from Mann.
It's stamped 4lbs
Other that a little damage to the Poll it's perfect and very smooth. I'd like to find out around what date it was made and what length haft would be appropriate. I really like this one and can't wait to give it a try.
My property is pretty much a mix of smaller pine and medium sized chestnut oak.

Got it for $15!!!!!! Along with a old railroad lantern for $10!! I rarely get lucky but I did pretty good this weekend

Nice haul! Knot Klipper was one of the better lines made by Mann Edge Tool Co, from Lewistown Pa. They used that stamp on sbs and dbs of varying patterns. You will find it to be quality metal, will take and hold an edge, and do just about anything you want it to.

Nice find!

Man that's a nice Mann! Don't have much to add to what Operator already said. Mann made some fine axes, it should serve you well. That appears to be a Jersey pattern, and in quite good condition. I'd say the $15 paid was a steal.

Nice find! Throw it on a 32-36" haft (depending on your size), sharpen it up, and have at it! Awesome axe.

My collection is maybe at a dozen so I'm just getting started. That being said this could easily be my new favorite .
Any clue on how old this may be ?

Well played right there. Nice condition, and a great price by my standards. Length is up to you. 30" agrees with my body so that's what I use.
