tell me about black T

what purpose does it serve? how does it hold up? it seems to be popular but i really like the look of the satin finish. i've always shyed away from it because i use my knives and thought it would start looking bad after some use.

imho it seems to help w/corrosion, but doesnt wear that great - if ya are gonna use your knife heavily, and ya arent on the ocean/water, i would get the SF myself - the coating WILL SCRATCH believe me

now if ya are mainly concerned about looks,and plan to take care not to scratch the coating, i think the SOCFK w/green G10 and black tanto balde looks killer,i just ordered one, and i dont plan on using mine for utility, so it makes no difference to me

but really if ya intend to use for utility and scratches /scuffs bug ya, get the SF

Worthless. I've been using the satin finished Mini-Commander hard since I got it and it still looks GREAT!
Had the Black T for about a week and it looks like I've had it for a year.

that's what i figured, i'm sticking with satin. just wondered why so many people have them. not to mention the last gun/knife show i was at the majority in stock seemed to be the black finish.
