because I can't seem to find much on them. Anyone have any experience with them?

Was looking at the Buffalo Horn model, and really like it, but it isn't CV (you know, it's really bright SS) and it isn't a clip blade, which I like better than the skinner blade.

But, it is beautiful, and I like bigger knives, which just seem to fit my hand better.

Please share the good or the bad as you see it. Thanks..............Doc

Mine is Chestnut bone and CV, the clip point model. It's wide but not very thick, with the blade being much narrower than the handle. I find it well-named, since it is a bit cumbersome to be carried in a front pocket. Unfortunately, since I switched to a metal wallet to save my plastic cards from being bent to death, Tony's back pocket carry method doesn't work for me, so the Back Pocket has become a desk knife.

Have two, Chestnut bone CV and the Damascus; both are the clip. At first sight the flat handle seems a little big for the blade however when you slip it in next to your wallet in a pair of jeans it works. I prefer the CV and the knife always seems to be the one that slips in the back pocket, good slicer, very handy, a natural.

I also have the Chestnut Bone CV knife, with the clip blade. It is a very nice knife if you want a larger knife that is also slim for easy carry. It is/was also offered in a 2-blade version, which is named the Panama Trapper, that combines both the clip and skinner blade into a single knife.

I believe they have dropped the Back Pocket from the CV line but it is still available in stainless.

I have a smooth bone one in cv (don't remember the name of the bone) and I have carried it every day for a year. I have a credit card sized wallet and they both slide in quite nicely.

I have one in Ebony, it is a great knife. I love the size of it, perfect for the hefty tasks. It has great action too, nice crisp snaps and good pull. A very solid knife capable of very hard work. The only thing I would change is that I wish it were just a little bit wider. But it is a winner in my book

At 4-5/8" I've never really paid attention to these before. The handle does look large for the blade, but I bet it's one of those "feels just right in the hand" kind of things.

I'm curious, what do you all use this knife for, especially those of you who EDC it? Food prep, or more like general farm/ranch/yard work?

Very nice knife. I've had mine for a couple of years now. I bought it as a lighter weight alternative to a Buck 110. I don't really carry it as much as I thought I would for daily use at work. However it is a great woods bumming, camping knife. Stout, sharp as heck and a great slicer for kitchen duty. Happy with my purchase and I should carry it more often. Excuse me while I go fetch it.

Thank you all for your thoughts. I ordered the Buffalo Horn with the skinner blade for some closer evaluation, and I'll let you all know what I think after a while.

Any other thoughts will always be appreciated.
