I've heard good things about their 360 knives, but I don't know anything about their folders. Specifically, I'm curious about their traditional lockbacks and some of their linerlocks--especially the skeletonized one that you see when you first go to BF.

Their lockbacks are pretty cool. The handle profile isn't flat like a Buck 110. There are curves and radiuses, and even a palm swell to the handles. It's a HUGE handle but I tell you, it's the most comfortable lockback I have ever held. Their fixed blades are very nice. Excellent fit and finish. I've got one with nickel silver bolsters, slender clip point blade, and red maple burl scales. Very nice stuff. The liner locks are good but I'm not too crazy over the handle design of their tactical folders.

Do their traditional lockbacks (the curvaceous ones you describe) have pocket clips? If so, tip up or down?

I think I might have to have one of these...

They do not have pocket clips on the traditional lockbacks. Instead, they come with a leather belt sheath. The sheaths IMO are kind of oversized from what they need be. Pocket clips on these knives are definitely not a good idea because 1) the palm swell would cause the clip to stick out even more therefore making the grip uncomfortable and 2) the lockbacks are kind of on the hefty sideand pocket carry might be uncomfortable for most folks.

Hope this helps!

Delta-Z offers some very nice looking Italian made linerlocks. Check out their website www.DeltaZ-knives.com

On a curious note, I was able to compare 2 linerlocks, one with a Delta-Z logo and one with a Fox Cutlery (Italy) logo. They were exactly the same in every way, except that the Fox folder was less expensive.

If you do a search for Fox Knives, you will find a thread discussing the fact that Delta-Z farms out many of their knives to Fox.

If you look at the foxcutlery website, they have many many knives.

After searching around and emailing a bit, I found that the best (and cheapest) way to get one that is not already in someones catalog is to special order them from AG Russell. This way, you avoid the outrageous shipping charges in ordering from the Italian distributors.

They have a very nice stag handle small skinner with clip (liner lock) that I am going to order as soon as I pay off for the last three knives I bought.
