I just ordered one and know nothing about them. Mine has a 440C blade but nice CF handles.

Can anyone show me theirs and tell me what you think (especially about them using the 440C.

Thanks in advance for any info

You'll love that knife--I hope. They are a Top Quality Co. 440-C, when done right, is an Excellent steel and Klotzli does it right! Give a report when you can.

A G Russell refers to Klotzli as the William Henry Knives of Europe. They seemed to be well made knives. A G in his catalogue speaks very highly of them. Let us know what you think when you get one.

Okay thanks for that. Now i am getting excited. I could not find much info online.

I will post some pics and what I think about the knife after i receive..

My wife bought me a Klotzli from the Klotzli store in Davos Switz. when she was over there about 10 yrs ago at a conference giving a paper. Funny thing is it was the same model the store owner carried to the tune of 310 bucks. Here's the other thing, I'll never sell the knife, but internet prices here were about 95 bucks. Nice enough single liner locking knife. Well made, simple, and reliable. keepem sharp

I have examined then at knife shows, I think they are overpriced. YMMV

Is a knife, or anything, really over-priced if you really like it? :)
...and can afford it. ;)

Well I like the one I ordered and can't wait to get it. But i wish i knew if I bought an overpriced knife...if that is indeed the reputation they deserve.

Snake---If you like that knife, it's worth what you paid for it, IMO.
I have an Emerson HD-7, that I paid WAY too much for but i love that knife and have no regrets. You tell me what you think of that klotzli!!

i have had a boker/klotzi or 2, and they are ok, imho they are a little on the high in the price dept though, but if ya like it not that big a deal, my only thought is that for that kinda dollar theres better stuff around, but if ya like it its not a bad knife by any means.

i had one with carbon fibre handles and it had pretty good F&F.

Swiss quality mostly is great but i agree the swiss tend to be a bit steep on the pricing.;)

I handled the warncliff one. Great fit and finish but to expensive to my liking.

I have to agree with most. IMO they are a bit pricey. Last one I followed on E Bay went for over 350.00. You can buy a Small Sebenza for that kind of cash, and again imo there is no comparison. I have to admit I would love to get one of the Spyderco Walker/ Klotzli;).

I was interested when they showed up on the nice finish thread I started. 440C is one of the best steels for a nice mirror finish and one of my favourite steels.
One of the reason for the high price of euro knives is the exchange rate.

I don't have one ... yet. I do think that their wharncliff folders look splendid and the small Klotzli company has a stellar reputation, a bit like an european equivalent of CRK. Anyway, it is true for the American readers of the forum that they are expensive now, just as the higher end Bokers, but a main reason for that is the dollar/euro exchange ratio.

I have this Klotzli and it is brilliant.
This one is in ATS34, and a Walker design, just a tad over 8" open.
