I told my wife I wanted a Spyderco Perrin Street Beat, small fixed blade.

She got it for my Christmas present...yay! :D I can't have it yet. :grumpy:

She showed me where she bought it and it supposedly has a Boltaron sheath with a multi-position G-Clip attachment.

Someone must have one right? How does that sheath work out?

I want a sheath that I can clip to the waistband of my jeans and not over a belt. I don't wear belts much. Is this doable? I also wish they'd make something like this to pocket carry as well - like the clip on a folding knife.

I'd like this kind of sheath and carry for this new blade and my Izula. I doubt if one would be doable for clipping inside the pocket. But on the top of the trousers IWB or OWB would be slick.

Any information would be welcomed....Thanks.

That does about explain it all. Thanks dinozzo!

I wonder if the G-Clip would fit on an Izula? sheath? Anyone?

I have several knives under the tree and its buggin me too.

Sure you could make your kydex sheath work with a few holes drilled, I first noticed this clip style on the boker ma-2

dinozzo,

In a related video (short one) there was a French guy describing the knife briefly and he said the Perrin had designed it for clipping inside the trousers around the small of the back. Bending a law or three there I'm sure.

(Perrin wears blue jeans actually, I've watched his combat knife videos before..a serious martial arts guy and former European stickfighting champion)

Watching his knife fighting videos is what got me interested in how much damage you could do to an assailant with a small blade in short order.

Here he demonstrates his kneck Bowie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ6IEAcshHE&feature=related
