Yes, I sorted through the threads from the search engine but I'm still missing some info. I know he used 440C materials for his blades and he no longer makes knives commercially (but still alive and refurbishing antique surveying equipment).

How well did they cut, accept sharpening, overall thoughts? I know there are some apparently diehard collectors here but was looking for thoughts.

Thanks!

I really like mine. I have known of his knives since high school, before 1980. The teeth on the back were intended to cut helicopter skin. They basically consist of a row of diamond pointed teeth running down the center of the spine, and 2 rows of half teeth, one running down each side of the row of whole teeth. The teeth cut a ribbon of metal out from in front of the blade, so no binding up on the blade occurs, as long as the cut is relatively straight. The cut is a wide as the blade, so no "Set" is necessary, like in a saw.

I read a review done several years, iirc by a guy named Baker? who covered this knife well.

I have found it to be solid, sharp, and functional. I have carried it camping, hunting, back packing, and it has a place of honor on my SWAT belt. I own 4, 2 users/beaters, and 2 mint. The mint ones are reserved for my sons.

I have a Robert Parrish 8" Survival-Combat model that I will consider selling. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll be happy to send photos.

Thanks
