Tell me about the Buck 119BR Special. What does the "BR" stand for? Is it my imagination (probably), or does the handle on the BR look a bit thicker than on the standard 119??

Only difference I know is the handles on the BR are Cocobola. Probably a little thicker..

From the Buck web site:

Weight: 10.5 oz. (298 g.)
Handle Material: Cocobola
Carry System: Brown leather sheath
Blade Steel: 420HC
Length Overall: 10 1/2" (26.7 cm.)
Blade Length: 6" (15.2 cm.)
Blade Shape: Clip
Knife Type: Fixed Blade

Am sure the experts will be along here soon to give better info...

I believe the handles are impregnated birch stained cocobolo in color. I have always understood that the BR stood for brown.
