Tell me about the Axe Hammer

So aside from the tribute to Matt Axelson, what is there to know about the axe hammer?

I just bought one on a whim because the thing just looks awesome.

Anyone here have any pics they can share of theirs?

I don't have an Axe Hammer, but I do have a SJTAC, which is almost the same knife. Very cool and very handy sized knife.

However, I do have a Sledge Hammer, and it's freakin awesome!

the Axe Hammer is .170 at the spine and has nice blade geometry. The above Axe Hammer is shown next to my skinny Ash 1. If the zombies ever start their march, one of these two will be on my hip. Ha ha

It is a SJTAC, quite thin, with a high sabre grind. A really magnificent blade. Blade is a tad longer than the RMDs blade and has a more generous handle with skull breaker.
I guess it is a great field knife. In the woods I prefer the RMD because it is a bit handier.

Here is my Axe Hammer before putting my own edge on it. Comparison to ESEE-6 and a 38mm ping pong ball.

And there you have a comparison between Axe Hammer, Boss Jack LE and Ratmandu. I put a convex edge on the Axe Hammer.

thanks for the pics guys, it sure is a sweet looking knife.

I was on the fence about an infidu or the axe hammer and decided on the axe.

It shall be used hard and relentlessly beaten on, but like Axelson, i have no doubt itll keep on going.
