Tell me about the Calypso Jr.?

Is the Calypso Jr. discontinued or is it here to stay? I am having trouble finding one.

The original run (black FRN) is long discontinued.

The new run (grey FRN) is discontinued.

The ZDP-189 sprint run (burgundy FRN) is a limited one-shot run, which isn't yet released. So if you want a Calypso Jr, buy the grey one or preorder the burgundy one before it's too late.

In its first iteration it had a black micarta handle and fit and finish was significantly better than the later ones but blade was AUS-8. Mine is in a box labed CX04 Experimental 4/97.

To be complete, there was a steel-handled Calypso Jr, too, also long discontinued. For some reason they gave it a saber grind, though, so it's a Calypso in name only.
