I'm wanting a small little knife that can be tucked away for use in an emergency and this knife looks almost perfect but I'm wondering about the hole. I have medium sized hands but I wear gloves sometimes and I'm wonder just how small/large this hole is and if the knife is gripable without using it. Also is the hadle scales smooth or rough. And last but not least is Boker planing on makeing an upscale version with better steel like aus-8....

Well, I'll answer the easy ones first.
You have to use the hole for using the knife,
the handle is too small for use without it.
No upscale version is in the works at this time,
but maybe if demand goes up, who knows.
The diameter of the hole is 3/4 top to bottom,
and 7/8 front to back.
Thanks, Terry

I think that the design is really appealing, and the whole concept is good. But sadly the steel is not good enough for me personally. If it would have been even 440A or equivalent, I probably would've bought it as soon as it hit the stores here. If it had been say 440C I would have not hesitated, even if the price had been higher.

Aloha Cyblade...

OR, you could wait for our SUBCOM FB to come out...minus a finger ring, it does sound like what "you are looking for"...:)

God bless:thumbup:

and when would that be ???? I went ahead and ordered one for 15bux I figure it's worth the gamble. I'll be ordering a subcom when they come out and maybe if you show me some pics of the fixed blade I might be inclined to order one when they come out....

Aloha Cyblade,

Uh, pre-production model should have arrived already. I need to ask Terry about it. Also, you will be happier with the steel I think.;)

God bless and thank you for your support!

Ok I just got the knife and I have one and only one complaint so far, I dont like the sheath. A thin kydex sheath would have been much smaller and be easier to tuck away and could be made to carry in many positions. I'm gonna see if I can rig up a small kydex sheath for it maybe rig it for neck carry.
