Tell me about this knife

They are selling for around 20 bucks on e-Bay

but I have seen them even cheaper. Thought about buying one, but dismissed the idea after I finally saw one at a gun show. Wasn't impressed, the blade is really short. A well made locking folder with 3 1/2 blade seems better to me. BTW, steel isn't that much of a cost factor on a small knife like this so it might very well be S30V.

Many people have said how tiny this knife is and how thin it is.
It's size would really limit it's use !

Click on "melt", scroll down to "find all posts by melt" and click it, then scroll to "Buck Hartsook Neck Knife". Sorry, but I don't know how to post a link. I'm not very skilled with a computer. I got some good feedback concerning this knife with that post.

The pics do not do this little knife justice on how tiny it really is.
I do like mine a lot , granted I have not used it much since I got my Christmas bonus and blew most of it on knives but still it has a very useful place in any collection.
You can stick it in your wallet , your PSK , your EDC bag, your office case , your pocket.... wherever you want.
The edge is so thin it is easy to get it to a razor sharp level.

Bear in mind though it is not going to baton thru stands of Fir , it is not going to slay bears or help you fight your way out of a crowd of Huns intent on claiming your booty but , if you want a general purpose utility knife that you can always keep with you unnoticed this may be the way to go.

The steel is of course , excellent and with a Bos heat treat you cannot go wrong.

I would search though and go for the lowest price , with some time you can get one far under $35.

thanks guys, i think after reading and rethinking it, i am going to pass on this one. thanks again!!! today was my birthday by the way... i turned 23 (feb. 7th):)
