I have recently ordered the AALB, and I would like to hear from those who own one...and have put it through some use...your experiences and opinions?

I realize that the AA is very "mission specific", meaning, its not exactly a camping/utility blade:D

Just as the M4/AR15 (The evil "black rifles":)) are the bad boys of the gun world (according to the gun grabbers)...in my opinion, the AA holds the same status in the world of knives. I like that status!

So, I would love to hear some stories and see plenty of pics!

Thanks everyone.

Spent one night at the shop with a few of the guys punching 2x4s to see who could do the most damage. Lots of nicks and scrapes but nothing a few drinks couldnt take care of.

These things are wicked to the extreme. You will love it.

I carry an Arcteryx Khard with all my work stuff in it, and the AA fits perfectly in the side pocket. It's just too offensive of a knive to carry around openly, in either use of the word...definitely a niche blade. I've tested the knuckles and skull crusher out on brick and concrete, and it does pretty much what you'd expect it to. Not as much reverberation as you would think there would be, but I think that is thanks to the light brigade technology. Or the Scotch. It's a really great knife-I'm sure you will be pleased with it

you know one day you're going to go to the busse page and there will be a big AA hole in the middle of the page. These are the things that keep me up at night

Yup, a few shots of Johnnie Walker Blue go a long way:D

It sounds like these AA's are a typical Busse...TOUGH!

I honestly can't believe that the AA has been up for as long as it has...since 2011. The one time were putting it off for a while didnt force me to really kick myself.

I wish I could pick up two AA's...but, the price tag is a little prohibitive. The TGLB will be my next score.

I was excited when I heard Busse was going to make the AA again. When it was released I decided not to buy one because I thought the blade design missed the mark for the style of knife. When I was still active duty I occasionally field carried the 1918 MK 1 my Grandfather returned from occupation duty following his service in WWI (he fought in the Argonne Forest). One of my uncles had carried the knife in WWII after he cut the left side of the guard off so it would fit in a normal sheath. The original MK 1 is a superb design for a knuckle knife, the 6 ¾” dagger blade is perfect for the brass grip, the knife was obviously designed as an impact weapon first. As an actual weapon I think the 10” blade on the AA missed the mark; it’s too long and heavy and the balance isn’t on the grip, I think a blade similar to the MK 1 would have been much more functional.

If you are looking for a trench knife more in tune with the MK1, monkey edge has a military overrun that sometimes pops up( I think I've seen them for sale three times in as many years). It's a sterile blade and they wont say who the maker is, but judging by the quality, the style of blade, and the return policy I'm pretty sure it is a Strider.

I think the Argonne Assault is a pretty awesome knife for its intended purpose. The atypical penetrator style point is nicely thought out. I would have liked to have seen a bit more metal left at the business end of the knucks (not for added strength) since I am sure that the INFI is strong/tough enough but, it would have added a bit more punch weight to the handle area.
Not really any serious issue and I can live with it as is. For sure....Not really a first choice BUSSE knife to take camping but, as a fighting knife I think that it will be more than effective enough.

Definately not a first choice for a camp knife but as far as fighters go I dont think there is anything better.

I agree Garth...the AA would make the ideal fighting knife. The knuckles/hand guard could be a huge game changing asset in a self defense scenario, if one did their part and trained with it...

Seeking out instruction from a knowledgeable source would ensure "proper training" of coarse.
