Tell me about your HT, MTMOD10.

I'm looking at the HT as a small fixed blade, that sort of blends into my LBV. Also, it would serve as a light weight backpacking blade. How do you like your HT? Ever use the serrations? Is the sheath secure? I'd prefer an MTMOD10, but I think it's a little large for me to discretly carry, and I don't want to have to much size overlap if I get a MT later.

One concern I have, is if I do unwrap the handle, and can't get it back exactly or on the 1 in a million chance the wrap gets destroyed, how much will that affect the fit of the knife in the sheath?

I'm also looking at an MFS, EBS or even the AR folder to fill this role.

Let me know, and if you have an MTMOD10, chime in on that as well.

Thanks!

I won't post on the opinion part.

You wont effect the sheath by removing he wrap. The blade locks into the kydex, not the handle.

I have a full bevel ground HT and love it. Mine came with the SOE sheath and I sent it in to Strider and had the kydex sheath made for it (I think they come with kydex now). I sometimes wear it IWB for reverse grip draw. I bought it for a backpacking knife but have not yet had the time to go backpacking. I like the spine serration's because you can use them as a small brush saw in the field. I'm sure a larger model with the serration's would do a bit better, but I think the HT would get the job done. All in all, the HT is a great little survival knife, and I think you can't go wrong getting one. Like all Striders, its built like a tank. Reagan
