Tell me about your Lum large Chinese folder

I've always thought that the small Lum Chinese is one of the best looking, most organic knives ever produced. The only downside I have found with mine is that the smooth aluminum scales, and they way they are shaped, make the knife feel like it wants to jump out of your hand like a banana shooting out of a banana peel.

I'm wonder about the large Chinese folder with G10. That grippy G10 has got to make difference, and I like the looks of the larger size as well.

So tell me please how you like your large G10 Lum Chinese, and how it has performed for you. I am especially interested in the improved grip from the G10. Pics if you have them.

thanks

I just picked one up last week.

I've owned a half dozen smaller ones in both Aluminum, Titanium and the Carbon Fiber version.

The G-10 is a quantum improvement. The size increase works better for me, and mine came shaving sharp out of the box, The only sharper Lum Chinese was the ZDP version.

When I first saw these promoted my first thought was..."Well Heck it'll be the same as the Lum Dejavoo." Uh, nope - this knife is far superior as far as Fit and Finish, as well as pocketability. It is one heck of a slicer and cutter.

Let me put it this way. I'll probably pick up another, one for the safe, one as an EDC. Also it kicked my Earth Brown Military with CTS-XHP out of my pocket as an EDC.

Totally different feel. I have the carbon fiber model and I can't do any heavy cutting with it because of the grip issues you mention. The large model has a good secure feel to it. I think you
would like it.

I like 'em enough to have bought two. Always loved the looks of the small ones...so the large is the icing on the cake. Use mine out in the garden/yard a lot.
